Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 fans, get ready for an action-packed midseason update! MW2 Season 1 Reloaded is set to release on December 14, bringing a host of new content for players to enjoy.
Join the Fight in the Game’s First Special Ops Raid, Atomgrad
One of the most highly anticipated additions is the game’s first Special Ops Raid, Atomgrad. In this intense raid, players can team up with two squadmates to assist Price, Farah, and Gaz as they uncover secrets hidden inside a heavily fortified enemy facility. Set after the events of MW2’s campaign, the raid follows the trio as they track down their missing team and uncover an underground bunker.
Completing the raid will unlock a new Operator for use in Multiplayer, Special Ops, and Warzone 2, as well as a tougher difficulty playlist for players to challenge themselves with. To access the raid, players must first earn a Raid Key by completing a Daily Challenge in Multiplayer or Special Ops, placing within the top 20 in any Warzone 2.0 Battle Royale Playlist, or using the final extract helicopter with at least $30,000 in Cash in DMZ.
A Reimagined Shipment Map Brings Fresh Challenges to Multiplayer
In addition to the Special Ops Raid, Season 1 Reloaded brings a reimagined version of the iconic Shipment map to MW2’s multiplayer experience. Players will be dropped onto a cargo ship that is “taking on water in a storm-ridden part of the Atlantic Ocean,” offering new challenges and opportunities for strategic gameplay.
This updated Shipment map will be featured in Playlists for the remainder of Season 1, and between December 21 and January 4, the ship’s main deck will be decked out in festive decorations to celebrate the holidays.
New Weapons, Operators, and More Await in MW2 Season 1 Reloaded
Season 1 Reloaded also introduces new weapons and Operators for players to use in Multiplayer, Special Ops, and Warzone 2. These new additions will give players more options and strategies to experiment with, allowing them to tailor their gameplay experience to their preferences.
In addition, the update includes a revamped Battle Pass system, offering players new challenges and rewards to unlock as they progress through the season. This new system should provide a more engaging and rewarding experience for players as they play through the season.
The new Assault Rifle will be called the Chimera.
