Warzone just released a new Cold War SMG called the UGR. After the Vargo 52 few weeks ago, it’s great to see that the developpers are still giving attention to Cold War.
How to unlock the UGR in Warzone
The official challenge to unlock the UGR is: “Using a SMG, kill an enemy revealed by your spy plane, UAV, or Field Mic in 15 different completed matches. You can do it in Cold War or directly in Warzone.”.
Is the UGR worth unlocking?
It’s a very good gun, not the absolute meta but fun to use. The ammo capacity is limited (either 30 or 36) so this makes it a great gun for solo or duo, but not really for trio, quads or Iron Trial!
So the answer is YES, it’s worth unlocking, except if you are looking for the absolute meta only.
The best UGR loadouts for Warzone
Close Range UGR
Like most Cold War SMG, the meta loadout for the UGR is the following:
- GRU Suppressor
- 10.7″ Task Force
- Tiger Team Spotlight
- Spetsnaz Stock
- Serpent Wrap
The only magazine option is the explosive flechettes that will bump the ammo capacity to 36 instead of 30. It seems great on paper, but it’s definitely not worth using at the moment due to a bug that will block you from thirsting down ennemies.
Hip Fire UGR
You can also build your UGR the following if you want to max out the hip fire:
- GRU Suppressor
- 10.7″ Task Force
- 5mw Laser
- Bruiser Grip
- Microflex LED
