Season 2 NERFS & BUFFS – The guns you should level up!

My predictions of which guns will be nerfed and buffed with season 2 on the 15th of February.

Today we will discuss my predictions of which guns will be nerfed and buffed with season 2 on the 15th of February.

obvious nerfs season 2

We all know the RPK, and the Fennec 45 have been dominating the meta since the launch of Warzone 2 in November, so to me, it’s obvious that they are going to get nerfed. For the RPK, I guess they will increase the ADS time and make it harder to control. Regarding the Fennec, well, I believe they could do several things, and not sure which one is the best: reduce mag capacity, increase ADS time, reduce damage range, and why not increase the recoil a little bit.

Now, I’m expecting a huge weapon balancing, which means changes to almost every gun in the game, as we’ve already seen in the past. Let’s mention the other weapons I see getting nerfed with season 2, mainly because they would instantly become the absolute meta and are the apparent alternatives. I’m thinking about the TAQ V, the RAAL MG, the Kastov 762, and all the Akimbos like the X13 auto, the p890, and the x12. The TAQ V is already widely used and is seen as the only alternative to the RPK. The RAAL MG is extremely strong and one of the best times to kill, but it is held down by how slow it is. Now let’s talk about the Akimbos. It’s like the devs never learn. We’ve had tons of overpowered akimbos meta in Warzone 1, and it’s the same in Warzone 2.

Potential absolute meta – season 2

Finally, for the nerfs I see coming, I feel like all LMGs will receive a mobility penalty and extra recoil. In season 1, the LMGs dominate, and if they only nerfed the RPK, then the meta would instantly be the Sakin MG38, the RAPP h, or the RAAL MG.
With this weapon balancing, the new absolute meta for long-range would be the TAQ 56 or the Sakin MG38. Then for close range, the Lachmann Sub and the Vaznev 9k would also be the front runners. If I had to choose four guns to predict the absolute meta in Season 2, I would bet on these. Of course, I have no idea what will happen to snipers, so I’m not going to mention them, even if I want to see a very light nerf of the Signal 50. it’s also very likely that one of the new guns introduced with season 2 will be strong and that you’ll need to level it as soon as possible if you want to be competitive. potential buffs – season 2

Now let’s talk about buffs. Every weapon balancing update also comes with some buffs and improvements to undervalued guns. I don’t know why I feel like the devs will bet on bringing back nostalgia to reignite the flame. And to do that, I’m betting on the Lachmann 556, the VEL-46, and the Minibak to be significantly buffed. The Lachmann 556 is very similar to the Grau 5.56, the Vel-46 is the old MP7, and the Minibak is the Bullfrog. Each of them is regularly mentioned as the best meta of all time in Warzone, and we know the devs need to bring back this feeling to keep the players hooked. For the Lachmann, I want to see an increase in damage range to make it relevant as a long-range weapon. And for both the Minibak and the Vel-46, the damage also needs to be increased for the time to kill to match the one of the Lachmann Sub or the Vaznev 9k. Both could also use a small mobility buff.

That’s it for today! Thank you for reading the article!
