How to Hear Footsteps Better in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 with Sonar

Listening to footsteps in a multiplayer match or Warzone can substantially affect the result of a battle. You can adjust the audio with a free software from SteelSeries called Sonar, to make it easier to hear footsteps.

We all know that SteelSeries headsets have excellent audio and microphone quality, but did you know they can provide deeper audio customization using Sonar?

Sonar enables users to improve their audio experience by providing easy-to-change preset audio profiles as well as a professional-grade 10-band Parametric EQ. The major feature we’ll concentrate on here is the Call of Duty Warzone audio profile.

The best part is that Sonar works with any headset, so even if you haven’t had the opportunity to get a SteelSeries headset yet, you’re still in luck!

Let’s have a look at these simple steps.

Sonar Audio Profile Configuration

To begin, make sure you have the SteelSeries GG app installed and either create or login to the program. SteelSeries GG is a free program that allows users to tailor their SteelSeries gear with engine, capture gaming achievements with moments, train their aim skills with 3D aim trainer and personalize audio experiences with Sonar.

1. Select Sonar in the GG Bar on the left side.

2. Click on the Game section in the top navigation panel.

Here is the Game Tab where you can personalize your in-game audio experience.

3. Set your preferred Audio Preset and Enable Spatial Audio.

There will be a drop-down box next to a configuration where you can select your preferred Audio Preset, from which you may choose either COD Warzone. (Here are some other games that have supported audio settings!)

This preset will emphasize the frequency of footsteps in Call of Duty. You’ll also be able to hear the immersion and resurrection sound components more clearly.

You can also modify your settings for Bass, Voice, and Treble under Configuration if you like to raise or lower those sliders. If you want to modify your audio, the Parametric EQ contains a ton of settings, but selecting a preset will do it for you without any tinkering.

Continue scrolling down to enable Spatial Audio. That feature will enhance your immersion in the surroundings by delivering 360° audio to your headset.

With the 360° audio, you’ll be able to distinguish exactly which direction your enemies are coming from.

4. Set Call of Duty Game Sound Device to SteelSeries Sonar — Gaming

The final step you’ll need to do is ensure that your Call of Duty game has the Game Sound Device set to SteelSeries Sonar — Gaming. (You can also have this set to default if Sonar — Gaming is your default audio source.)

This menu can be found under Settings -> Audio -> Volumes.

Now Sonar will allow you to hear footsteps clearer than ever in Multiplayer and Warzone! Download Sonar now.

Warzone Update: A Comprehensive Overview of Season 05 Reloaded

The dynamic landscape of Call of Duty: Warzone continues to evolve, adding layers of complexity and excitement for its player base. With the arrival of Season 05 Reloaded, the game introduces significant changes, including a new Resurgence experience at Fort Resurgence, the return of Armored Royale, and upgraded missions in DMZ. Whether you’re a Resurgence fanatic or a lover of vehicular warfare, this season has something for everyone. In this article, we’ll dive into the specifics to keep you ahead in the game. –> 3 NEW WEAPONS WITH SEASON 5 RELOADED

New Resurgence Experience: Fort Resurgence Joins the Fray

One of the major highlights of the season is the new Resurgence map, Fort Resurgence. This locale features the entire Al Bagra Fortress in southern Al Mazrah. If you’ve previously engaged in Multiplayer matches on this map, your experience will give you an edge. Notably, this new map will have its own playlist at launch, separate from the existing Resurgence maps, Ashika Island and Vondel. For the first time in Warzone history, you can jump into three different Resurgence maps in one gameplay session, in addition to other DMZ locales like Building 21 and the Koschei Complex.

The Revival of Armored Royale

For those who enjoyed the vehicular combat of the original Armored Royale, you’re in luck. The mode is back and better than ever. Each squad will be assigned an MRAP vehicle that is essential for redeployment. You can also improve your MRAP’s capabilities through the Upgrade Station located on the vehicle. Expect Al Mazrah’s Gas Stations to be crowded, as squads will frequently need to repair and refuel their vehicles. While LMGs and Launchers are highly recommended, your choice of loadout can significantly affect your path to victory.

DMZ Reloaded: New Missions and Features

The DMZ is not left behind in this season’s update. The Shadow Company introduces new Tier 3, 4, and 5 missions, which include objectives such as acquiring a Heavy Chopper, extracting gas canisters, and facing off against a commander known as “Rhino.” Additionally, by completing new Communication Station tasks, players can earn various benefits, including extended UAV Tower and SAM Site durations. These added features make the DMZ missions more challenging and rewarding than ever before.

The CODMunity App: Your Go-To for the Best Warzone Loadouts

For Warzone players who want to stay ahead of the competition, downloading the Warzone loadout CODMunity app is essential. With over a million downloads, this app offers you an array of features, including the best loadouts for any Warzone mode, rankings, and a unique camo tracker.

Mark your calendars: Season 05 Reloaded is set to drop on August 30 at 9 AM PT across all gaming platforms. But what exactly can you expect from this game-changing update? Beyond the already exciting new Resurgence experience and Armored Royale revival, the season introduces a brand-new Multiplayer map to explore. Plus, several in-game events are slated to keep the action fresh and engaging. Additional DMZ missions also add layers of complexity to the gameplay. Importantly, many of the rewards and content unlocked during this season will be transferable to the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, making your achievements in Season 05 Reloaded not just a short-term victory but a long-term investment.

By taking part in Season 05 Reloaded, you’re not just getting a one-off experience. You’re stepping into a continually evolving world that stretches its influence into future titles, offering a richer, more immersive gaming journey.
