Black Ops 7 Season 6 brings a major Halloween-themed update to Call of Duty: Warzone, headlined by the transformation of Haven’s Hollow into Haunted Hollow, the return of Giant Infected, new Winstreak Camo Challenges, and a shortened season of Resurgence Ranked Play.
The update also marks the final season for Black Ops Royale, giving players one last chance to earn its exclusive Winstreak Camos before the mode leaves at the end of Season 6.

Haunted Hollow Comes to Warzone
Haven’s Hollow Becomes Haunted Hollow
At launch, Haven’s Hollow is transformed into Haunted Hollow as part of Operation Grave Rot.
The Halloween takeover changes multiple areas of the map, introducing:
- Darker environments
- New routes
- Environmental hazards
- Occult-themed locations
- Hidden secrets
- New traversal opportunities
Major Map Changes
Several familiar areas have been altered.
River Boat
The River Boat has been overtaken by strange growth and other supernatural changes.
Lumbermill
The Lumbermill is now engulfed in fire.
Mansion
The Mansion contains a gravity vortex in its foyer, creating a new environmental feature inside the POI.
Pond
The Pond has been drained, revealing eldritch symbols underneath.
Research Facility
The Research facility has also been transformed, with the area now showing signs of a major supernatural event.
The Ghost Train
A Ghost Train now travels through Haunted Hollow.
Players must first find a way to temporarily phase the train back into reality before they can access what is inside.
Ghost Train Loot
While the train is active, players can access:
- Supply Boxes
- A Buy Station
- Mystery Box
- Additional resources
The train eventually returns to its immaterial state, meaning players only have a limited amount of time to loot it.
Trick or Treat Pumpkins
Pumpkins can be found around Haunted Hollow and offer a risk-and-reward interaction.
Players can receive valuable loot, but the pumpkin may also trigger a negative effect instead.
Possible Rewards
Some rewards include Zombies power-ups that provide temporary buffs similar to Perks.
Giant Infected Returns
64-Player Giant Infected
Giant Infected returns at launch as a 64-player Limited-Time Mode played exclusively on Haunted Hollow.
The match begins with:
- 64 total players
- 8 randomly selected Infected
- Remaining players starting as Survivors
Survivor Objective
Survivors must collect DNA samples around the map to construct and arm a DNA Bomb.
If the bomb successfully detonates, the Survivors win.
Survivor Progression
Each Survivor starts with a fixed Loadout that can be upgraded during the match.
Players earn score by:
- Surviving
- Eliminating enemies
- Collecting DNA
- Completing activities
Infected Objective
The Infected must prevent the Survivors from completing the DNA Bomb.
Any Survivor who dies and is not revived in time joins the Infected team.
Infected Abilities
Infected players have access to:
- Unlimited sprint
- Special melee attacks
- Faster mantling
- Wall jumps
- No fall damage
The longer an Infected player survives, the stronger they become.
Upgrades can include:
- Increased movement speed
- Increased health
- Super jump
Infected players can also collect DNA to progress faster.
New Warzone Winstreak Camos
Season 6 adds six Universal Weapon Camos through new Winstreak Challenges across Battle Royale, Resurgence, and Black Ops Royale.

Season 6 is confirmed to be the final season for Black Ops Royale, making this the last opportunity to earn its Winstreak rewards before the mode leaves.
Resurgence Ranked Play in Season 6
Ranked Play Returns in a Shortened Season
Resurgence Ranked Play returns during the Season 6 launch window.
The Ranked playlist will use:
- Rebirth Island
- Fortune’s Keep
- Haven’s Hollow
Season 6 Ranked Play is confirmed to have a shortened four-week run.
SR Changes for Diamond and Above
The developers are using Season 6 to test changes to SR progression in Diamond+ tiers.
The stated goal is to make SR gains at higher ranks more reflective of actual performance rather than simply time invested.
The changes are also designed to reduce SR inflation as players approach and enter the Top 250.

What Season 6 Means for Warzone
Season 6 is heavily focused on limited-time content, seasonal challenges and competitive progression rather than introducing an entirely new standard Warzone map.
The biggest visual change is Haunted Hollow, which completely reworks Haven’s Hollow into a darker Halloween version with new mechanics such as the Ghost Train, Trick or Treat Pumpkins and several altered POIs.
Giant Infected also gives the map its own exclusive LTM, bringing a much larger version of the classic Infected formula to Warzone with 64 players and a full DNA Bomb objective.
For competitive players, the shortened Resurgence Ranked season is another important part of the update. The four-week format gives the developers a chance to test more aggressive SR adjustments at Diamond and above, particularly around Top 250 progression.
The new Winstreak Challenges should also give high-level players some of the most difficult cosmetic objectives in Warzone. A 50-win consecutive streak in Resurgence is the hardest requirement announced, rewarding the Neon Nightmare Universal Weapon Camo.
Season 6 is also the final opportunity to play Black Ops Royale and earn its two exclusive Winstreak Camos before the mode is removed at the end of the season.
From a Warzone Meta perspective, Season 6 will also introduce new Black Ops 7 weapons such as the VMP and TR51 Para. Their exact place among the Best Warzone Loadout options will only become clear once the update is live and their Warzone-specific damage, recoil, range and TTK values can be properly tested.
